Hello Harvey-Swanson families, We look forward to beginning week six of our distance learning journey with you. Our staff continues to collaborate as we keep our focus on our goal of staying connected and keeping the learning engaging. This week our P2 character strength focus is gratitude. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you all how grateful I am for our partnership. It’s amazing to me how we continue to foster such confident, happy, hardworking students in spite of the obstacles and unknowns. It’s wonderful to be in this with you all! I am so proud to be on this team. Here are a few important updates for this week: Yearbook Pics: Thank you for sending us pictures of your child(ren) distance learning. We wish we had more than two pages to fill because we have way more pictures than could possibly fit on just two pages. What a great problem to have! This makes us think how fun it would be if you kept sending in pictures and each week we will create a distance learning video to share with you. What a great way to celebrate our successes each week! I spent some time this weekend using the pictures that were submitted for our yearbook to create a video of our students learning at home- just to see how it would work. It worked! I had so much fun making the video and I would love to keep doing this. If you would like to submit pictures for our video of your child(ren) learning at home, please send them to either me or Mrs. Zak: dbrauher@brandon.k12.mi.us or czak@brandon.k12.mi.us . I will eblast the video each Sunday. Zoom Links: We request that you do not share any of the Zoom links, IDs, or passwords on social media. Kroger Rewards: They are still coming in. Thank you to Mrs. Blackmer for overseeing this program. Be sure to link your rewards card with our school. From Feb 1st-April 30th HSE had $330.76 in total donations. Mrs. Losey's Literacy Tip: Click here Drop off/Pick up Day: We are in the process of planning for this day which will happen in June. We will share specifics soon. No school on Monday, May 25th. I hope everyone has a fabulous week. I can't wait to see more pictures of our students learning! Debbie Brauher Harvey-Swanson Principal |
