Dear Harvey-Swanson families, As we head into our final week of school, I just keep marveling at all that we have accomplished together this year! At HSE our goal is to foster happy, engaged students who feel connected. I am so proud of how we all teamed up to make that happen, especially during these last few months. I want to thank you for all of your encouraging words, patience, support, and commitment during our distance learning journey. We have truly been in it together. It is a privilege to lead HSE! We look forward to a busy, fun last week of school. Following are some updates and highlights: Pick up/Drop off Days: Tuesday, June 9th 10:00 AM -12:00 PM JK, 2nd, and 3rd grades Tuesday, June 9th 1:00-3:00 PM 4th and 5th grades Wednesday, June 10th 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM kindergarten and 1st grades Wednesday, June 10th 1:00-3:00 PM Make up time for anyone who can’t make the above times Click here to view the flyer BGYA Youth Recognition video and sign pick up: Thank you to Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance for putting together a Youth Recognition video to celebrate our wonderful student volunteers. Click here to enjoy the video. This year Harvey-Swanson had over 40 fourth and fifth graders volunteer their time to help our school! Thank you for serving on our Safety Team and our Student Council. Thank you to Mrs. Mulligan and Mrs. Long for overseeing these programs and allowing our students to shine! During our drop off/pick up times, students who are being awarded will be able to pick up their sign. The BGYA volunteers will be stationed in the parking lot waiting to congratulate the students and give them their signs. Facebook Live Announcements: I’ve enjoyed starting the day with you each morning at 8:15 AM. My two favorite memories are the students leading us in the pledge and sharing the highlights each day. Thank you so much for your patience, as I worked through what seemed like endless technology struggles. Thank you for sending in pledge recordings. They were absolutely adorable! Thank you for tuning in each day and sharing hellos and words of encouragement. It was such a fun experience! Thursday, June 11th will be my last morning announcement for this year. Distance Learning video: On Friday, I will post our latest distance learning video to celebrate our last couple of weeks and send us into summer fun! Please keep sending in your distance learning pics. I will keep adding what I get through Wednesday. Summer Enrichment: Once again, the Brandon School District is offering summer enrichment activities. These are great programs to continue to keep your student engaged through these summer months. Online Registration for Preschool & Kindergarten: Please see the attached flyer for more information about enrolling in our preschool programs.
