Each year at HSE, we take a full day of school to put on an academic festival. The festivals take on different themes each year. This year's theme is earth science and will take place on May 20th. All students will take part in two large-group assemblies and three sessions from the sheets that are attached. Most teachers are filling these sheets out during class time with their students. Teachers will turn in the table at the end of the document and send the rest of the sheets home. We invite you to look through these choices with your child. There are some really neat offerings! And almost all of them are put on by volunteers. For the first time this year, we are offering a make and take session that is being put on by a non-profit called Arts & Scraps. It was a bit out of the budget we had to put this event on, but it fit so well with our theme, we thought we'd still offer it to anyone interested at the cost of $5. If you have any questions, ask your child's teacher, the office, or me. This year's festival is going to be another outstanding event! Andy Phillips HSE Principal |
