March is busy, busy, busy. Here are some of the things going on before our long Easter weekend!
Makers Club is full, and we have a waitlist. If you are able to volunteer your time, we can add those children waiting! Please contact Bob Larson at rlarson@brandon.k12.mi.us if you are interested.
Next Wednesday, March 23rd, is a busy day at Oakwood! We will recognized Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day by wearing green. Our preschools have a special event celebrating literacy. Author, Brian Chick will visit with our students in the morning, and Bridgewood Church is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt for all our students in the afternoon! Thank you to our friends at Bridgewood!
Our after-school club offerings just got better! See the attached flyer if your 2nd or 3rd grader might enjoy being a part of the Running Club! This club ends with the group participating in the Brandon Township Library’s 5K in May. This club does have a fee, but there are scholarships available if you need one.
Remember, next week we have our spring conferences. Call the office if you have not scheduled a time to meet with your child’s teacher. Parents and teachers working together makes a positive difference for our kids! Call, 248-627-1880 to set yours up now.
The Scholastic Book Fair starts tomorrow, April 17th and runs through March 23rd. It will be open during our conference evenings and students can shop during their regular library times.
There will be no school for students March 24th and 25th! Enjoy the long Easter weekend!
