Hello Oakwood families! I hope that you are all enjoying this amazingly beautiful summer break! It’s almost time for school to start again, and I have some important reminders for you. 1. We are nearing the end of the One Million Pages Summer Reading Challenge! Our community has read just over 600,00 pages, but we really want to make our 1,000,000 page goal. Oakwood families have logged 50,000 pages. Let’s really focus from now until September 6th and make every page count! Please visit Brandonschooldistrict.org and log your family’s pages read! 2. The OES PTA in need of volunteers for the evening of Friday August 12th starting at 5:00, and the morning/afternoon of Saturday August 13th starting at 9:00. The new playground equipment is installed and now it’s time to spruce it up to get ready for the Summer Picnic event. Bring any gardening tools you may have! PTA will provide pizza for dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday! Kids are welcome! 3. The 2nd Annual Oakwood Summer Family Picnic is Thursday, August 25th from 6:00-8:00 PM.
