What a great first week of school we’ve had. Thank you to all our families for making the start of this school year so amazing! We have the BEST families here at Oakwood. Here are some reminders, news updates and helpful information: Drop-off/Pick-up Loop – Please read the attached information on the drop-off and pick-up procedures if you use the front loop in the morning or afternoon. This loop is meant for continuous movement. Adults should not exit cars. Additionally we ask all pedestrians to use the sidewalk around the loop and not cut across. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping everyone safe! Our first PTA meeting is Monday, September 12th. Join us in the library at 4:00 and see what our PTA is all about. PTA fundraisers have begun. You can order 31 large utility tote bags and Mums from Wojo’s to support our PTA. See the attached order forms for more information and to order yours. Wojo’s orders are due next week, Sept 16th and 31 orders are due Sept 27th. Picture day is Tuesday, September 13th. Our first popcorn day is Thursday, September 15th. Send in $1.00 for popcorn. If you are interested in being the room parent for your child’s class, join us for a brief informational meeting at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16th. Remember that free and reduced lunch applications are due soon. These have to be completed each year. You can pick one up in the Oakwood office. Have a great weekend! CoyStewart Oakwood Principal
