Oakwood Update

I hope that all of you had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday with your families. Here are a few important, time-sensitive reminders for this week. Tuesday night, November 29th, there will be two informational meetings for Oakwood families at the ITec located at Brandon Middle School. Information will be provided on the two following topics along with a question and answer period during each session. iPad Information Night, 5:00 p.m. ~ You can purchase insurance for your child's iPad and also sign permission for them to take the iPad home. This meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. NWEA MAP Information Night, 6:00 p.m. ~ Bring your child’s MAP student report that you received on November 11th. We will discuss what the scores mean, how to read the report and answer any questions you may have. If you do not have the report or have misplaced it, please call the Oakwood office and a copy will be made available to you at the meeting. This meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Adopt a Family wraps up this week! So far $30 has been collected to go toward our $400.00 goal. This money will be used to help out our own Oakwood families in need who are registered through OCEF. Please send any donation in an envelope marked, Adopt a Family. Friday, December 2 is the deadline to send it in! Our Community Christmas Toy Store box is beginning to fill up! Let’s fill it up and overflow onto the floor. Our Brandon firefighters will come pick the box up soon. We want to give them a workout as they try to load all the toys up and take them away! Please send new, unwrapped toys and games! Lastly, our Wojo’s Holiday Greenery pickup is December 1st from 3:30-5:30. Coy Stewart Oakwood Principal
