News & Notes from BMS for December 10th, 2018
Spirit Day: Monday, December 10th – Volleyball Charity Week: The Brandon School District is sponsoring a Hat Day on Wednesday, December 12th and a Pajama Day on Friday, December 14th. The cost for each day is $1.00 per student. There are other activities as well and they are Monday December 10th - Movie Night, Santa Paws at H.S. PAC ($5 a ticket) 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 11th - Bake sale and Miracle Minute @ home Varsity Basketball game, and Wednesday December 12th- Dinner for a Cause at Buffalo Wild Wings, Grand Blanc. Candy Cane Grams: Candy Cane Grams will be sold during all lunches starting Monday, December 10 - Tuesday, December 18. The cost is 2 for $1.00. The Candy Cane Grams will be delivered during 7th hour on Thursday, December 20. Brandon Aquatic Center: Please read the attached flyer below for more information about a Winter Pool Party 7th & 8th Competitive Cheer - There will be a MS Cheer parent and player meeting on Thursday Dec. 13th, 7-8pm at the High School in room 151 (by Aux gym). Tryouts will be held on Dec 18th and 19th in the MS cafeteria 3-5pm. In order to tryout, a parent or representative must attend the preseason meeting and athletes must have a physical & athletic contract on file. Pick up a tryout packet in the Student Services office for more information. 6th, 7th & 8th Co-Ed Swim - There will be a MS Swim parent and player meeting on Dec. 13th, 5:30pm at the High School Pool. Swim practices begin on January 3rd, 2019 2:45-4:30pm. In order to begin swimming, athletes must have a physical and athletic contract on file. Pick up a registration form in the Student Services office for more information. 7th & 8th Boys Basketball - Boys basketball will have open gym on Jan 3rd and 4th 2:45-5:00pm. Official Tryouts will be on Jan 7th, 8th, & 9th 2:45-5:00pm. A parent meeting will be held after tryouts. In order to participate in open gym and tryouts, athletes must have a physical and athletic contract on file. Sign up in the Student Services office and see Coach Redman for more information. Choir Winter Concert: BMS is having our Choir Winter Concert on Wednesday, December 12th in the Brandon High School Performing Arts Center. The concert starts at 7:00 P.M.
