News & Notes from BMS for February 19th, 2019
Spirit Week – Snowcoming: Monday, February 18th: No School Tuesday, February 19th: College Day - wear a t-shirt/sweatshirt from any college Wednesday, February 20th: Vacation Day - wear a t-shirt/sweatshirt from a place you vacationed or would like to visit Thursday, February 21st: Tie Day - wear a tie, you do not need to dress up, just wear a tie around your neck Friday, February 22nd: Brandon Blue Day Lady Blackhawks Basketball: Please read the attached flyer for information about our Girls Basketball program. BMS Career Day: BMS is having a Career Day on Friday, May 24th. Please read the attached flyer if you would like to know more about this amazing event. Class of 2023 Expo: Brandon High School is having their Class of 2023 Expo on Wednesday, February 20th starting at 6:00 PM. Please see the attached flyer for more details. Oakland University Study Skills Group: Oakland University is sponsoring free sessions on how to help improve students study skills. This is a great chance for parents and students to work together in order to improve academic progress. The attached flyer has the dates and times. Take advantage of this free opportunity. Athletics: There will be a parent-player informational meeting on Thursday, February 21st, 5:30pm in the middle school cafeteria for any 7th and 8th grade students interested in playing MS Baseball and MS Softball this spring. Practice schedules, games schedules, costs related to the season and other pertinent information will be discussed. Please make plans to attend. *All players must have a current physical and athletic contract on file in order to start practices on March 18th. If the student has already participated in a Fall or Winter sport at BMS, their physical should be on file.
