News & Notes from BMS for April 22nd, 2019
Spirit Day: Friday, April 26th: Brandon Blue - 8th Grade Baseball & Girl's Softball Monday, April 29th: Brandon Blue - Track BGYA Fundraiser: On Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd Wojo’s Greenhouse is sponsoring a Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance fundraiser. The attached flyer has more details. Puerto Rico Trip: The BHS Spanish program is excited to announce a trip to Puerto Rico in June 2020. Students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in Spanish for the 2020 school year, and who will have completed Spanish 2 by June 2020, are eligible to attend. There will be a parent informational meeting in the BHS library on Tuesday, April 30th. Mrs. Marino is the contact person for this trip. (lmarino@brandon.k12.mi.us.) Brandon Boosters: Brandon Boosters is sponsoring a family fun night at Jimmy John's field on Friday, May 31. If we get at least 50 participants, Jimmy John's field will give back $10/person for our general fund. This is definitely a great family event. Bookin It for Your Library: The 8th annual Bookin’ It For Your Library 5K Run/Walk and Dewey Decimal Dash will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019. The flat, paved route starts and ends at the Brandon Twp. Library. It’s always a fun community event, and we have a lot of participants of all different ages, including many teachers, parents, and students from the Brandon School District. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be on hand this year to high five and pose for pictures with everyone, as well as Brandon School teacher, Larry Pete, who does a fantastic job as our DJ, and adds more of a festive atmosphere! BMS Dance: BMS is having their last dance of the year on Friday, May 10th. Make sure to save the date. Have a great week and GO BLACKHAWKS!! Michael Tucker Principal |
