Sports Physicals: Brandon High School is hosting a sports physical night in the main gym on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019 from 6:30-7:30 P.M. The attached flyer has more details. Summer Math Camp: Brandon Community Education is offering a summer math camp. Registration is by mail, by phone, or online at community.brandonschooldistrict.org. The flyer is interactive with a link directly to the registration site if you send it electronically. Preschool: The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a FREE Preschool Program for families that meet program requirements; including eligibility guidelines and/or existing risk factors. Please note, children must be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2019. The attached flyer has all of the specific information. Brandon Preschool Academy: This is another great opportunity to get your student’s education started off on the right track. The two attached flyers give details and pricing for this amazing program. Don’t miss out. BMS Robotics: The past weekend, the Brandon Middle School's FTC robotics team (Team 5976 Brandon Tech), attended the Thunder Quest spring tournament at Sterling Heights Henry Ford II High School. The results were that Brandon Tech finished 6th in the qualifying rounds with a 5-3 record, and placed in the 4th seeded alliance for the championship. In the playoff rounds, Tech was eliminated in the semi-finals, but it was a great showing for the team. Brandon Tech also was awarded the Think Award, which is describe as: Think Award is a judged award that is given to the Team that best reflects the journey the Team took as they experienced the engineering design process during the build season. The Engineering section of the notebook is the key reference for judges to help identify the most deserving Team. The Team’s Engineering section must focus on the design and build stage of the Team’s Robot. Journal entries must include descriptions of the underlying science and mathematics of the Robot design and game strategies, the designs, redesigns, successes, and opportunities for improvement. A Team is not a candidate for this award if they have not completed the Engineering section of the Engineering Notebook Meet & Eat: The Brandon School District announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Services Program for children. Free meals will be made available to children 18 years of age and under or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a State or local public educational agency.
