Dear BMS Families,

I hope everyone had an enjoyable spring break. We are entering into a busy time as our state testing begins. Our 8th graders begin M-Step on April 12th. Please make sure students eat a good breakfast and sleep well as they should everyday, but especially during testing.

Also, we have had parents dropping off students as early at 6:45 a.m. I have asked that students not be dropped off until 7:05 a.m., as we do not have supervision for students until this time. To help everyone follow this protocol, doors will not be unlocked until this time. Students will be able to enter the building at 7:05. If you choose to drop off your child before that time, then s/he will have to stand outside. Please understand it is a safety issue that students are supervised while in the building and we can’t provide that supervision any earlier than 7:05. I thank you in advance for you understanding and cooperation.

Attached are several items. One is the Early Childhood Open House for pre-school, junior kindergarten and kindergarten. Another is a t-shirt fundraiser that PTO is combining with the BHS band. They are a great way to support the schools and show your Brandon pride. The last attachment is the schedule and fees for the Village of Ortonville Skate Park.

This is what we have happening this week:
Tuesday:
  • 8th Grade M-Step Testing begins
  • Detroit Tigers Day – wear orange and blue
Friday: End of 3rd marking period

Sincerely,
Tina Chambers
Principal
