News & Notes From BMS for the Week of Nov. 21st, 2016 Half Day of School: There is a half day of school on Wednesday, November 23rd. Students are dismissed at 10:55 AM. The Christmas Story Express: Bridgewood Church in Clarkston is having a friendly competition between Harvey-Swanson Elementary, Oakwood Elementary, Brandon Fletcher Intermediate School, and Brandon Middle School. Students will receive an invitation and the THREE schools with the most participation will win $1,000! Please see the attached flyer. Spirit Days: Tuesday, November 22nd is Brandon Blue Day for wrestling. Screen-Wise Parents: Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance in conjunction with Orion Area Youth Assistance is offering a program called Screen-Wise Parents and Mindful Children. This program focuses on helping parents and children to use technology to positively influence their futures. Please see the attached flyer. Patriot’s Pen Contest Winners: The Ortonville VFW sponsored an essay contest called Patriot’s Pen. The writing prompt was My American Hero. First place winners were Ian Burke and Tyler Sitko.
