News & Notes From BMS for the Week of January 17th, 2017

Spirit Days: January 18th - Brandon Blue – Swim, January 25th - Brandon Blue - Boys Basketball

Education Exploration Night: Please make sure to put January 31st from 5:00 – 8:00 on your calendars.  This is the one time of year where we highlight every single class, club, sport, and activity that happens at BHS all in one night.  More information will be forthcoming.  We hope to see you all there. Please see the attached letter.

No School: This is a reminder that there is no school on January 16th, 2017.

Parenting with Love & Logic: Please read the attached flyer for a program that is being hosted by the Brandon Township Public Library.

Bridgewood Church Contest: BMS was recently awarded a check for $1,000 for participating in their Christmas Story Express contest. This money is extremely helpful and from all of us at BMS we would like to say thank you to Bridgewood Church for this great opportunity.

Yearbooks for Sale: Yearbooks are currently for sale for $40. Please consider purchasing a yearbook for your student this year! Yearbooks are pre-order only. Unlike years past, there will not be extra yearbooks available in the spring for purchase. Orders can be placed online through the link on the BMS website, or by visiting jostens.com. There are order forms are available in the Counseling Office for cash or check purchases.

Calling ALL Photos: Parents, students, and school staff can submit photos to the BMS yearbook by using the RePlayIt app (available on the App Store/Google Play) or website. Creating an account is simple and free, but make sure you select Brandon Middle School in Ortonville during sign up. While not every photo can be included in the yearbook, all photos submitted and approved will stay on the BMS RePlayIt website/app, organized by school year, through student graduation from Brandon. RePlayIt is a great way to collect and share photo memories of 7th and 8th grade (and beyond). The app is designed to be secure as well as school/age-appropriate. Sign up today!

Have a great day and GO BLACKHAWKS!!

Michael Tucker
Principal
