News & Notes from BMS for the Week of February 27th, 2017
Free Tutoring: National Honor Society students from Brandon High School are providing free tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays which run from 2:30-3:30. Please take advantage of this great opportunity. Reading Month: March is National Reading Awareness Month. We are doing several activities here at BMS to promote reading. We are playing Classroom Scrabble every Monday, several grade level reading activities in our Seminar classes, every Tuesday in March is a reading themed spirit day, and other various activities to promote reading. Please help us to promote reading by asking your student about our month-long activities and which activities they enjoyed. Penny War: This year we are supporting the Michigan Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. They have a program called Pennies for Patients. We are going to have a Penny War between all Seminar classes. Non-penny coins and bills can be used to “sabotage” other seminar classes’ totals. The class with the highest penny amount will win the charity trophy and a class treat. Water Bottle Refill Station: We still need your help to purchase a 3rd water bottle refill station here at BMS. Please read the attached flyer. Have a great day and GO BLACKHAWKS!!
