Parent Teacher Conferences: We have Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, March 21st from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Pennies for the Playground: Please read the attached flyer to help support purchasing new playground equipment for Oakwood and Harvey-Swanson Elementary Schools. Truck Town Thunder Fall & Winter Newsletter: Please read the attached flyer for the fall and winter updates for Truck Town Thunder. Future Problem Solvers: Nineteen Brandon School District students have received invitations to compete in the Future Problem Solver State Bowl on March 25-26, 2017. Future Problem Solvers research topics and brainstorm problems and solutions to futuristic situations. This year, our topics included Educational Disparities, Genetic Manipulation, 3D Printing. Using a six-step problem-solving approach, students are challenged to identify an underlying problem and explore solutions and a futuristic final action plan. They are given two hours to complete this task. FPS State Bowl, held on the campus of Michigan State University, will gather teams from across the state and compete on the topic of Identity Theft. Coached by Julie Hampel and Michelle Tyrrell, these students from Brandon Fletcher are: Evan Fletcher, Lillian Muehlheim, Lyndsay Claxton, Abigail Muehlheim, Isaac Miller, Caleb Thwing, Olivia Hanson, Lauren Komeshak. Brandon Middle School students are: Gabrielle Claxton, Grace Montreuil, Ella Miller, Mary Katherine Komeshak, Emily Roper, Paige Thwing, Peyton Fletcher, Nick Bradburn, Annaliese Elliott, Matt Ressler, Kelsey Nestuck.
