News & Notes from BMS for September 25th, 2017
Spirit Day: Monday, September 25th: Brandon Blue - Girls BasketballBabysitter’s Safety Class: Please see the attached flyer for more information on this great opportunity. Yearbook: Have you purchased your student's yearbook yet? September 29th is the last day to buy a yearbook at the lowest price of the year, so get yours today! Whichever Seminar class has the highest percentage of yearbooks sold by 9/29 will win a class prize of breakfast! Yearbooks are $35 and can be purchased online from the BMS website OR you can fill out the order form and return it to your student's 1st hour Seminar teacher or the main office. Don't wait to buy your yearbook!! Face Painting: The BHS International Thespian Society is doing face painting for the Homecoming parade. Check out the flyer for more details. Parent Help Group: Our BMS Parent Group needs your help. The attached flyer has the details on how you can support BMS. Homework Club: We are pleased to announce that we are starting Homework Club this Monday, September 25. Homework Club will be every Monday and Wednesday, 2:40 to 3:10, in Mrs. Madacki's computer room, 233. This will be a quiet place to study or work on homework. You may also check grades, get extra school supplies that you need, complete projects on the computer, get help organizing your locker, or get help managing your daily schedule. All BMS students are welcome to drop in every Monday and Wednesday. Hope to see you there! Free & Reduced Lunch Deadline: Read the attached flyer for more information about this program. 7th Grade Parents: Your student will be bringing home information about next year’s Washington DC trip on October 23, 2017. This is the same day that our current 8th graders will be returning from their Washington DC Trip. Mr. Hendershott will be holding a Parent Meeting on October 25th at 7:00 PM in the Middle School Kiva, located upstairs at the Middle School to answer any and all questions pertaining to next year’s trip. MSU Federal Credit Union: BMS is continuing our partnership with the MSU Federal Credit Union. They are going to be in our cafeteria every other Tuesday. There are three flyers that have more information. Brandon Township Public Library: The Brandon Public Library is going to visit our lunches on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month. Remind your student that they can fill out an application for a library card and so can you. Take advantage of one of our great local resources.
