Spirit Days: Friday, October 6th: U of M VS. MSU Extra Spirit Day: The entire Brandon School District is also having a PJ/Hat spirit day on Friday, October 6th. Students can pay $1 to wear PJs or a hat to school that day. Students can also pay $2 and wear both. All of the proceeds are being donated to the American Red Cross to help with hurricane relief. Fall Count Day: Our Fall Count Day is Wednesday, October 4th. Please make sure that your student attends school this day because accurate attendance is extremely important. Yearbook: Have you purchased your student's yearbook yet? September 29th is the last day to buy a yearbook at the lowest price of the year, so get yours today! Whichever Seminar class has the highest percentage of yearbooks sold by 9/29 will win a class prize of breakfast! Yearbooks are $35 and can be purchased online from the BMS website OR you can fill out the order form and return it to your student's 1st hour Seminar teacher or the main office. Don't wait to buy your yearbook!! Nature Education Program: Oakland County Parks has some great programs. Check out the flyer for more details. 6th Grade Camp: Parents of 6th grade students remember that payment and registration forms for Camp Copneconic are due on Thursday, October 12th. Oakland Parent Engagement Network: Oakland Schools and the Oakland Parent Engagement Network will be hosting a FREE learning event for parents of children Pre-K through 8th grade on Saturday, October 14, 2017. This parent event will help you meet the state legislative requirements for early literacy (reading) by providing parents a learning opportunity. Link to flyer: https://www.smore.com/e305a In-School Credit Union: The In-School branch of the Credit Union will be set up during lunch on Tuesday, October 3rd! All students are eligible to open an account and start practicing the habit of saving money! Students may deposit any date the Credit Union is at Brandon Middle School and can earn reward coins toward prizes for every $10 deposited. We will give each student the initial $5 to open their account (see attached coupon). Applications may be returned to Brandon Middle School at any time, including days when the Credit Union is set up during lunch. Applications may also be dropped off at one of the local branches listed below: · 4 South St, Ortonville, MI 48462 · 8055 Ortonville Rd, Clarkston, MI 48348 Ford Test Drive Event: Come test drive a Ford vehicle and earn $20.00 for the sports team or club of your choice.
