News & Notes from BMS for October 9th, 2017
Spirit Days: Wednesday, October 11th: Brandon Blue – Football, Wednesday, October 18th: Brandon blue - Girls BB, Wednesday, October 25th: Seminar T-Shirt Annie Auditions: BMS is holding auditions for the musical Annie on Thursday, October 12th in the BMS Kiva. Please read the attached flyer for more details. 6th Grade Camp: Parents of 6th grade students remember that payment and registration forms for Camp Copneconic are due on Thursday, October 12th. Please contact Tawn Hill at 248-627-1830 if you have further questions. Parent-Teacher Conferences: We are going to have our Parent-Teacher conferences on Monday, October 9th from 3-6 PM and then again on Tuesday, October 10th from 3-8 PM. No appointments necessary. Some teachers will be in their classrooms and other teachers will be in the cafeteria. You will be provided a list of where the teachers are located. Each conference should be limited to 5 minutes in length. If more time is required please contact your student's teacher to make an appointment. Brandon Township Public Library: Fran Hotchkiss wanted me to pass along this great resource for parents, students, and teachers. Please read the attachment to learn more about MEL databases. O.A.T.S. Information: The leadership students at BMS are hosting a great activity through a local business. Please read the attached flyer for more details. No School: School is not in session on Friday, October 13th. School will resume on Monday, October 16th. Stranger Danger: There have been a few stranger danger incidents popping up around Southeast Michigan. There have been reports in Livingston County and a few in Genesee in the past few weeks. Please have a conversation with your student about this very serious topic. Without causing alarm, this is a reminder for parents on this topic.
