News & Notes from BMS for November 6th, 2017
Spirit Day: Wednesday, November 8: Brandon Blue Volleyball ScreenAgers: Are you curious about the potential effects of kids "scrolling through life with rapid-fire thumbs and a shorter attention span?" If so, consider joining other interested adults and students on Wednesday, November 8th at 6:30pm at Oakland Schools, 2111 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. The Oakland Parent Engagement Network will present SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age, a documentary about one of the biggest parenting issues of our time. The attached flyer has additional information. Winter Pom Season: The attached flyer has dates and times for our BMS Winter Poms season. Sewing Class: Ready, Set … Sew! Check out the attached flyer for an opportunity to learn how to sew. Classroom Assistants & Preschool Paraprofessionals: Brandon Schools Special Education Classroom Assistants are needed at BHS, BMS, and HSE, 4-5.25 hours/day. This is great for those who want many rewards during the school day. Brandon Preschool Paraprofessionals are needed for Before Care and After Care, from 6:30 - 8:30 a.m. and/or 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. This is great for those going to school during the day or evening. Please apply through Brandon Schools HR department. Teacher Websites: Please check out your student’s teachers websites. These are informative and extremely useful. Please use the link below to access the BMS Staff Directory page on our website. BMS Directory No School: There is no school on Tuesday, November 7th due to Election Day.
