News & Notes from BMS for June 4th, 2018
Spirit Day: Wednesday, June 6th: Animal Day - wear an animal print or an animal on your shirt, pants, or shorts. Sports Physicals: Brandon High School will be offering Sports Physicals for any student entering grades 6-12 in the fall of 2018. Physicals will take place in the high school gym on Tuesday June 5th, 6:30-7:30pm and the cost is $20 (See Flyer below). Students must bring their MHSAA Physical Card, Physical Consent Form, and 2018-19 Athletic Contract. All forms are attached or can be picked up in the BHS athletic office. NHS Tutoring: This is the last week for NHS tutoring. Tuesday and Thursday of this week from 2:30-3:30 are the last two days of this great opportunity. Homework Club: The last of Homework Club is Wednesday, June 6th. The club runs from 2:40-3:10 in Mrs. Madacki's room 208. Yearbooks: Yearbooks that were pre-ordered will be delivered to students at school after the first week of June. Any remaining yearbooks can be purchased by students on Wed.-Friday, June 13-15, in room 222 starting at 7:30. It is first come, first served, and there is not a waiting list. Yearbooks are $45, cash only. End of the Year Celebration: Families! Brandon Middle School is ready to celebrate the end of a wonderful school year! We are having an “End of the Year Celebration!” for all grade levels on the last day of school, Friday, June 15! There will be a variety of fun stations the students can choose from, and we need your help to supervise the stations. 6th grade participates from 7:40 - 8:35, 7th grade participates from 8:45 - 9:40, and 8th grade participates from 9:55 - 10:50. Any help is wonderful to us - supervising or donating items! If you are able to help, please email Jennifer Trovato: jennifer.trovato1@gmail.com Awards Night: The BMS Awards Night is on Wednesday, June 6th at 7:00 P.M. in the Performing Arts Center at Brandon High School. If your student is receiving an award then you will receive a letter by Monday, June 4th. If you have any questions please be sure to contact our main office. Pom Team Tryouts: If your student is interested in trying out for the BMS Poms Team the attached flyer has the dates and times. BSD Summer Camp Guide 2018: As summer approaches, now is a great time to see what summer programs the Brandon School District has to offer. There are several new and exciting programs that are happening during the summer in our community. The attached brochure details everything that you will need to know in order for your student to have an amazing summer. Please take the time to read what is available.
