News & Notes from BMS for October 22nd, 2018
Spirit Day: Seminar T-shirt day on Wednesday October 24 BMS Volleyball: Please read the attached flyer for more information about volleyball tryouts. Volleyball and Wrestling Practices: Middle School Volleyball and Wrestling Practices will begin the week of October 22nd. 7th VB - Tryouts will be Oct. 22, 23, 24 3-5pm in BMS Gym. Coach Liz Hendershott (ehendershott@brandon.k12.mi.us) 8th VB - Tryouts will be Oct. 22 and 23 3-5:30pm in BMS Gym. Co-Coaches Rick Wootten-Smith (coachrickvb@gmail.com) and Christina Wilk (cwilk@brandon.k12.mi.us) 6th, 7th, 8th Wrestling - Practices will start on Oct 22nd - 26th, 3-5pm in BMS Cafeteria. Coach Steve Hendershott (shendershott@brandon.k12.mi.us) *In order to start practicing, all athletes must have a completed physical and athletic contract on file in the Athletic Office. Forms are available online at www.brandonblackhawks.org or can be picked up in the BMS Office. BMS Robotics: Please help the Pineapple Warriors with their upcoming fundraiser this Sunday, October 21st at Bueche’s. They are sponsoring a bake sale & pop can drive at Bueches. .Any help would be greatly appreciated. Student Ski Club: Please read the attached flyer for more information about this terrific opportunity. Volunteers Needed: We are looking for adult volunteers for our Disability Awareness Day. Please read the attached flyer for more details. Non-Homestead Millage Information: The attached flyer has information about the Brandon School District Non-Homestead Millage vote on November 6th. BMS Tutoring: Starting on Tuesday, October 30th we are having free tutoring from 2:30-3:30 in the BMS Media Center. Mrs. Aaden, our math interventionist, will be available to help students. Homework Club: On Mondays and Wednesdays we have Homework Club from 2:40-3:10 with Mrs. Madacki.
