News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of February 11, 2019
Report Cards: Wow! What crazy weather we have been having! First semester has finally wrapped up and report cards should be coming home on Wednesday, February 13th. See your student’s individual teachers if you have questions about your student’s grades.
Sophomores: If you are a sophomore with a 3.5 GPA or higher, the DEEP program may be something you would want to take advantage of. This is a program where you can simultaneously receive both college and high school credit while still in high school. Please join us Tuesday night, February 12th at 6:30 for more information. See the attached flyer for more details. College Fair: Lake Orion High School puts on one of the best College Fairs in the state. If you are starting to look at colleges and universities, this event that will take place on March 18th is a must for our students. Please see the attached flyer for more details. Scheduling: It is hard to believe that the scheduling process is already beginning for next school year. The counselors will be meeting with your students to talk about the process and the many options available to them. Please have some conversation with your student about their class schedule and devising a plan that is best going to meet their academic needs. As always, if you have any questions, please contact their counselor.
