News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of April 22nd, 2019
Report Cards: 3rd Marking Period report cards went home with your student on Thursday, April 18th. These grades are also available on the Parent Portal. Seniors Last Day Correction: The seniors last day of school will be Friday, May 24th. They will have exams for hours 1-2 on this day and be given their caps and gowns for graduation. Please see the attached Senior Bulletin for updated senior information. Cinderella: Don’t miss this year’s showing of Cinderella which will be performed by our talented theatre students at BHS. Show times April 26th and 27th at 7:00 and April 28th at 2:00. Hope to see you there! Spanish Trip: The BHS Spanish program is excited to announce a trip to Puerto Rico in June 2020. Students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in Spanish for the 2020 school year, and who will have completed Spanish 2 by June 2020, are eligible to attend. There will be a parent informational meeting in the BHS library on Tuesday, April 30th at 6:00 pm. Mrs. Marino is the contact person for this trip. (lmarino@brandon.k12.mi.us.) Jimmy Johns Field: The BHS Athletic Boosters will be sponsoring a Family Fun Night to Jimmy Johns Field on May 31st. Please see the attached brochure for more information. College Fair: BHS will be taking a group of students down to the Metro Detroit College Fair in Novi on April 24th. There will be over 150 colleges and universities represented. Get your attached permission slip into the Counseling Office ASAP. There are only 50 spots available. Senior Lock In: The Senior Lock In this year is going to be on May 30th at the Legacy Center in Oxford. They are selling Kettle Corn to help fund-raise for this event. If you would like to make an order, please fill out the attached order form. Upcoming Dates to Place on Your Calendar Now: April 19th – No School April 23rd – 24th – Standardized Testing Make Up Days May 7th – Band Ice Cream Social May 10th – PROM at San Marino Club May 14th – Seniors Honors Convocation May 16th – Spring Band Concert May 22nd – 24th – Senior Exams May 24th – Seniors Last Day of School May 24th – ½ Day of School for all Students May 27th – No School for all Students May 30th – Senior Breakfast, Walk, and Graduation Practice Final Exams – TBD based on if the State of Michigan makes us Make up Days Last Day of School - TBD Have a Great Week and Go Blackhawks!
