Thank You: Thank you to all parents and community members who brought in food for our teacher appreciation luncheon. I think that this one was our best one yet.
Sports Boosters Meeting: The Brandon All-Sports Booster meeting for the month of May has been rescheduled from May 13th, and will now take place on Tuesday May 21st at 5:00pm in the high school Athletic Office. Nominations for next year's Booster Board will take place at this meeting. All parents are welcome! Parents of NHS Students: New this year The Citizen is celebrating the achievement of the National Honor Society Members. They are inviting parents, grandparents and friends to show how proud you are of your NHS student. Reserve space in the Citizen Graduation Keepsake Issue. Happy Ads are 2 1/2 inches x 2 1/2 inches and only $49. Ads must be in by Friday May 17, 2019. Send your student’s name, school name, your message and a picture of your student along with payment to The Citizen, PO Box 595, Ortonville, MI, 48462 or stop in at 12 South St, Ortonville, or email citads@citnewspaper.com Ads must be prepaid. They accept cash, checks or credit card. Goodrich runs in the May 25 edition. Brandon runs in the June 1 edition. Testing Out: If your student is interested in attempting to test out of any class next year, please have them fill out the following form and return it to the Counseling Office by May 31st. If you have any questions about testing out, see the Counseling Office. Summer School: Is your student behind and credits and want to catch back up by attending summer school? See the attached flyer for more information and dates. Senior Grad Sign: Do you have a senior and want to recognize their great accomplishment with a yard sign? Please see the attached document for more details. Senior Lock In: The senior lock in will be held on May 30th at the Legacy Center in Oxford. Tickets are $25.00. See the attached flyer for more details. Senior Information: Senior end of the year event information has changed. Please see the attached senior bulletin for information concerning all seniors at BHS. Juniors: Your SAT score is now available! Log into your College Board account to receive your score. Financial Aid Night: Parents of Juniors! In a few short months, your students will be seniors and many of them will be tackling the college search process. An important part of figuring out college is understanding financial aid. We are excited to be able to help, by hosting our annual Junior Financial Aid Night on Tuesday May 28th at 6:30 PM in the Brandon High School P.A.C. A financial aid professional from Oakland University will be presenting all about the ins and outs of financial aid and the FAFSA. Students will file their FAFSA (with their parents) as early as possible when it opens in October of their senior year.
