Brandon High School News and Notes for the Week of May 20, 2019
Last Day of School – It’s official! The last day of school is officially Monday, June 17th. Final exams will be held on June 13th, 14th, and 17th. Sports Physicals: If you are an athlete, sports physicals must be updated yearly. BHS if offering physicals for next year on June 4th for $20.00 to all of our athletes for next school year. See the attached two flyers for more details. Senior Exams: Seniors will be taking their final exams this week which will account for 20% of their overall grade. Please see the attached senior exam schedule for more information. Seniors last day of school is this Friday, May 24th. Sports Boosters Meeting: The Brandon All-Sports Booster meeting for the month of May has been rescheduled from May 13th, and will now take place on Tuesday May 21st at 5:00pm in the high school Athletic Office. Nominations for next year's Booster Board will take place at this meeting. All parents are welcome! Testing Out: If your student is interested in attempting to test out of any class next year, please have them fill out the following form and return it to the Counseling Office by May 31st. If you have any questions about testing out, see the Counseling Office. Summer School: Is your student behind and credits and want to catch back up by attending summer school? Please see the attached document for more details. Financial Aid Night: Parents of Juniors! In a few short months, your students will be seniors and many of them will be tackling the college search process. An important part of figuring out college, is understanding financial aid. We are excited to be able to help, by hosting our annual Junior Financial Aid Night on Tuesday May 28th at 6:30 PM in the Brandon High School P.A.C. A financial aid professional from Oakland University will be presenting all about the ins and outs of financial aid and the FAFSA. Students will file their FAFSA (with their parents) as early as possible when it opens in October of their senior year.
