News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of May 11, 2020
Yearbook Pick Up: We will be allowing all students that have ordered a Yearbook to pick it up this Thursday, May 14th according to the schedule below. Please pull up in the BHS service drive all the way up to the front entrance where there will be someone there to greet you. Please do NOT get out of your car. If you have any Yearbook related questions, please contact Mrs. Kelsey at kkelsey@brandon.k12.mi.us. Last Names Starting With: A-F 1:00 - 1:30 G-M 1:30 - 2:00 N-S 2:00 - 2:30 T-Z 2:30 - 3:00 Cap and Gown Pick Up: We will be allowing all students that have ordered caps and gowns (and are paid in full) to pick it up this Thursday, May 14th according to the schedule below. Please pull up in the BHS service drive all the way up to the front entrance where there will be someone there to greet you. Please do NOT get out of your car. We will be offering a picture with the Principal at this time as well in front of the pool entrance. If you cannot pick up your cap and gown during this time, please stay tuned for more communication on a makeup date that will take place the following week. Please stay tuned for updated information on this that will be coming your way soon. Graduation: We are continuing to monitor the Governor’s stay at home orders and social distancing parameters. We are working hard behind the scenes to give our seniors a great graduation. Stay tuned for more details to come this week. Prom: At this point, Prom in its traditional sense has been cancelled. We are working on different ideas and thoughts on how to move forward with another like experience for our Juniors and Seniors. Advanced Placement Testing: Please see this very important AP Exam Day Video for all students that will be taking their AP tests next week. FYI, that if your test falls on a day where you have a Zoom class, you are excused from attending the Zoom class on that day. Financial Aid Presentation: You are invited to attend a virtual financial aid presentation to learn general information regarding the financial aid process. Just like a Financial Aid Night held in-person each year at BHS, the knowledgeable Financial Aid experts from Oakland University will provide general information able to be used no matter what college or university students plan to attend. Topics include the elements of financial aid, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), variety of resources available, and more! Please join this virtual presentation from your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone using either WiFi or cellular service.
