Brandon High School News and Notes for the Week of August 17, 2020
Block Schedule: Brandon High School will be implementing a block schedule for our students for both face to face instruction and for those that are participating in the Brandon Learn From Home Program. Students will attend hours 1-3 on the first day of school, and then hours 4-6 on the second day of school for approximately an hour and forty-five minutes each class. These days will continue to rotate all school year. Freshmen Orientation: This year’s freshmen orientation will be Tuesday, September 1st from 1:00 – 3:00. This will be led my our amazing Link Crew program out on our football field. Link Crew students will be contacting your freshmen with more information about this exciting day. Back To School Registration: This year’s walk in Registration Day will all be done virtually this year. Parking Passes – See below for more information Pictures – Picture day will be September 18th during the school day. Class Schedules – Can be accessed online through the student and parent portals soon. If you need your name and password, please contact Brandon High School at 248-627-1866. Parking Permits: Students needing a parking permit can come up to Brandon High School on Tuesday, September 1st according the schedule below. Parking spots will be issued on a first come first serve basis and will also be available throughout the school year. Please make sure that you fill out the attached form and bring it with you when securing a parking spot. Seniors (9:00 – 10:30) Juniors (10:30 – 12:00) Medication Forms: If you have any medication that needs to be on file with Brandon High School (Prescription or over the counter) please fill out the attached form and bring it into the office anytime between 7:00 – 2:00 during the month of August or September. These forms need to be filled out every year. Registration Forms: Regardless of whether or not you are a new student to Brandon High School, or someone that has been here their whole lives, we are asking that ALL families please update and complete the Online Back to School Registration forms. See the attached letter for more information and directions. Dates to Place on Your Calendar Now: September 1st – Freshmen Orientation at BHS (1:00 – 3:00) September 8th – First Day of School September 18th – Picture Day If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our school administrators.
