News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of October 26, 2020 This Week’s Schedule: Monday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Tuesday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Wednesday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Thursday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Friday – ½ Day of School, “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Drop Off / Pick Up: Please help in cutting down on congestion before and after school if you are dropping off, or picking up your student from Brandon High School. If you arrive at Brandon High School before 7:08 in the morning and before 1:48 in the afternoon, we ask that you park in a parking space on the West side of the building (by the pool / gymnasium). Lining up at the curb by the building causes backups all the way up the service drive and impedes traffic flow. Thank you everyone to your attention to this. Update Meeting: This Wednesday at 7:00 I will be hosting a webinar to update our parents on everything that is going on at Brandon High School. Some key agenda items will be going over the process for COVID positive students and quarantining, OSTC updates, Face-To-Face Instruction vs. Online, standardized testing, and more…… Please join us by signing up HERE, or cutting and pasting the following link https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_lZ3uuaGTRZi-5lq8GPXU7w School Schedule: Reminder that we have a ½ day of school this Friday, October 30th (release at 10:35) and no school at all on November 3rd. This Friday will be a “B” Day with hours 4-6 for shortened periods. We will not have hours 1-3 on this day. November Calendar: See our attached November calendar for which days will be “A” days and which days will be “B” days. Free Lunch and Breakfast: All students will receive free breakfast and lunch throughout the whole school year at Brandon High School. This includes Brandon Learn From Home students as well. Please see the two attachments for more information. College Visits: Brandon High School is committed to working with colleges and universities across the state and country to set up virtual college visits for our students. Please see the attached flyer for more information or click HERE to see what colleges are scheduling events for this week and beyond.
