News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of November 16, 2020
This Week’s Schedule: Monday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Tuesday – "A" Day (Hours 1-3) Wednesday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Thursday – "A'" Day (Hours 1-3) Friday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Building Temperatures: This time of year the temperature varies greatly. Please remind your students to dress accordingly and in layers depending on the temperatures of their classrooms. Blankets cannot be worn in the building. Report Cards: It is hard to believe that ¼ of the school year is already over with. This Friday, your student will bring home with them their first marking period report card. These grades will also be available through the parent portal online. Brandon Wellness Resources: See the following link that covers a wide range of topics to help us all through this stressful time in our lives as we deal with COVID. Brandon Wellness Resources Winter Sports Information: Winter Sports Tryouts - Any athlete planning to tryout for winter sports must have an updated physical or MHSAA Health Questionnaire on file in the athletic office. Additional information for winter tryouts can be found on the athletic website, www.brandonblackhawks.org. Here is a list of tryout dates and times for this week: Boys Basketball (Nov 16 - 20): · Freshman - 2:00-4:00pm in BHS Gym · JV - 6:00-8:00pm in BHS Gym · Varsity 6:00-8:00pm in BHS Gym Boys & Girls Bowling: Nov 17th & 19th · Tues 11/17 and TH 11/19 - 2:45-4:45pm at Cherry Hill Lanes. Boys & Girls Downhill Ski: · Tues Nov 17th, 4:30pm at Bicentennial Park, Grand Blanc. Email: fbskiteam@gmail.com Wrestling (Nov 16 - 20): · JV & V Wrestling 2:15 - 5:00pm in Aux Gym Boys Swim & Dive (Nov 23-25) · 3:00-5:00pm in BHS Pool Winter Spectator Guidelines - For all Winter HS and MS sports, only 2 guests per participant will be permitted to attend events. Also, we will be charging admission to our winter events, $5 for HS and $3 for MS. Only those with a ticket or on pass lists will be permitted to attend with paid admission. All spectators will be required to wear a mask/face covering while attending any event. If you have any questions, please contact the athletic office.
