News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of February 8,2021
This Week’s Schedule: Please be advised that due to the snow day on Friday, that this week’s schedule has changed. Monday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Tuesday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Wednesday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Thursday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Friday – “A Day (Hours 1-3) Grades: Second semester grades are available right now on the parent and student portals. Hard copies of these grades will be sent home with your student on Monday, February 8th. Please see the attached flyer for directions on how to access these grades in the parent portal. No School: Due to Mid-Winter Break there will be no school on Monday (2/15) and Tuesday (2/16). School will resume on Wednesday February 17th. Enjoy your 4-day weekend. DEEP: DEEP is a dual enrollment program through the University of Michigan Flint where high school students can earn both high school credit and college credit simultaneously. Please see the attached flyer for more information about a February 9th informational meeting. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to be a part of. Suicide Prevention: The Oakland County Suicide Prevention Task Force will be holding a virtual training for all parents and community members about mental health and suicide prevention on February 8th. Please see the attached flyer for more details and to sign up. Homework / Tutoring: Brandon High School is now offering time after school for students to get extra help in all subjects, as well as a quiet place to do homework in Room#103. Please see the attached flyer or click on the Homework Club website for more details. Free Food Reminder: Reminder that ALL families that are affiliated with the Brandon School District are eligible to receive free food on a weekly basis. Please see the attached flyer for details and pick up times. Opening: Brandon High School has an immediate opening for a Kitchen Assistant, Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
