News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of April 19, 2021 Week of April 19th Schedule: Monday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Tuesday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Wednesday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Thursday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Friday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Juniors - Juniors with last names A-L will take the MSTEP test this Tuesday, April 20th starting at 7:20 a.m. There is nothing to bring with you, as this test will be done completely online in one of our computer labs. Testing will complete around 11:30 and students will go to lunch and then return to class. *CHANGE of DATE* Juniors will last names M-Z will now take the MSTEP on May 5th at the same times as above. We apologize for the change of date on this. Tuesday, April 20th will just be a regular day of school for all Juniors with last names M-Z. Report Cards: Report cards for Marking Period #3 will be coming home with your student on Wednesday, April 28th. These grades will also be available through the MISTAR Parent Portal as well. Athletic Rapid COVID Testing: Please remember that per the Michigan High School Athletic Association, all athletes must get Rapid tested for COVID on Sunday nights to be eligible the following week to play athletics. Please look for a separate email with detailed information about this testing, scheduling, etc… Finacial Aid Night: Attention Junior Parents! Every year we partner with Oakland University for a presentation covering the FAFSA, financial aid, scholarships, and college admissions protocols. Please SIGN UP to talk to one of the representatives, or for a virtual presentation. This is for all students who plan on attending all colleges – Not just those interested in Oakland University. Internet Security: The Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance in conjunction with the Brandon Library are hosting a Virtual Internet Safety Seminar on April 20th at 7:00. Please see the attached flyer for more details. BHS Theater Club: Please join us every Tuesday, starting April 20th, from 2:00 – 3:00, in Mr. Malicke’s room for Theater Club. See the attached flyer for more details.
