News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of April 26, 2021
This Week’s Schedule: Monday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Tuesday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Wednesday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Thursday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Friday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Report Cards: 3rd Marking Period report cards will be coming home with your students on Wednesday, April 28th. These grades will also be accessible through our student and parent portals. Virtual Options for 2021-2022: If you are considering a virtual option for your student for the 2021-2022 school year, please see the attached letter for more information. We are offering a parent informational presentation on Tuesday, April 27th at 6:30 to provide more information to our families about our plans for next school year. Seniors: As we continue to get more direction from the Governor’s Office as well as the Oakland County Health Department, please continue to look for emails concerning end of the year events (Prom, Graduation, Senior Walk, etc…). Juniors Last Name (M-Z): Juniors with last names M-Z will be taking the MSTEP test on Wednesday, May 5th at Brandon High School. This testing will begin at 7:25 in the morning and conclude around 11:30. Once testing is complete, students will go to lunch and then return to their regularly scheduled classes. Students who have an Advanced Placement test on this day that conflicts with this testing, should plan on taking their AP test. The MSTEP will be made up on a separate day. This will be a regular day of school for Juniors with last names A-L. Junior Parents: You are invited to attend a virtual financial aid presentation to learn general information regarding the financial aid process. We will provide general information able to be used no matter what college or university students plan to attend. Topics include the elements of financial aid, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), variety of resources available including scholarships, and more! Please join this virtual presentation from your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone using either WiFi or cellular service. Below are linked handouts available for download, print, or viewing during the presentation. Applications can be turned into the Counseling or Athletic office. See attached application form. Reminder to all Spring Sport Athletes to attend Rapid Testing on Sunday nights, 5:00 - 7:00pm in BHS main gym.
