News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of April 18, 2016 Senior All Night Party: The senior all night party is June 14, 2016 at the Genesys Athletic Club in Grand Blanc. Please see the attached flyer and parent letter concerning this great event. There will be a Parent Meeting on Thursday, April 27th at 6:00 in the high school cafeteria. We hope you will be able to make it. Graduation: All senior will receive 4 complimentary tickets to the June 12th graduation ceremony. The window is now open to request additional tickets if needed. All requests must be made in writing through email to Principal Dan Stevens at dstevens@brandon.k12.mi.us. Please include the graduates name and the amount of additional tickets you would like to request. You can make this request now through May 6th. Potential College Athletes: If you think that there is a chance that you could play a sport collegiately at the next level, please see the attached letter about a must attend meeting for you to be a part of this Thursday, April 21st. Juniors: We have recently learned that College Board will provide the opportunity for students to send their scores for Free to up to Four colleges. Students can log in to collegeboard.org to make these requests. This must be done by Thursday 4/21/2016 though, so please do not wait! After that date, if colleges require for students to send their scores directly from College Board, it will cost $11.25 for each college the student would like the scores sent to. Report Cards: Report cards for 3rd marking period will be coming home with your student this Friday. Please contact your student’s individual teachers if you have any questions about their grades. Appropriate Dress: Parents, now that the weather is heating up, please help us to make sure that your student is dressed appropriately for school. Any student that is not dressed appropriately will be asked to change and/or call home to get new clothing. We appreciate your partnership in helping with this. Testing: PSAT, SAT, Work Keys, and MSTEP testing are now complete. Thank you to all parents and students for your preparation for these tests. We will communicate test scores to you when they come in sometime within the next couple of months. Harvey Fletcher Golf Outing: Please see the attached flyer for the 2nd annual Harvey Fletcher Golf Outing that will take place Saturday, June 25th. Proceeds to go Brandon High School students in the form of college scholarships. Come on out and support our students. Spirit Week: This week is a Spirit Week for Brandon High School. Please see the following days to show your school spirit. Monday = Pajama Day Tuesday = USA Day Wednesday = Beach Day Thursday = College Day Friday = Brandon Blue Day Have a Great Week!
