News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of September 26, 2016
Ford Drive One for Your School: Please put October 1, 2016 on your calendar to come up to Brandon High School to test drive a Ford vehicle. $20.00 will be donated to the athletic team or club of your choice just for test driving a vehicle. Thank you Randy Wise Ford!! Click on the attachment for more details. Blackhawk Hotline: Do you have any anonymous information that you would like to share with the Brandon High School administration? If so, you can text it to the Blackhawk Hotline at 248-660-0138. Social Media Assembly: This Friday all students will get a chance to listen to members of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office as they come in to educate our students about the positives and negatives of social media. It should be a great learning experience for all of our students. Picture Retakes: If your student has not got their picture taken yet, or would like to upgrade their pictures from registration days, we will have picture retakes this Friday, September 30th. Half Day of School: This Friday, September 30th will be our first half day of school. All students will be released at 10:35. Khan Academy: Fore extra help, tutoring, and test preparation in all subjects, we recommend having your student go to Khan Academy on line. This site is also highly recommended in preparing students for the PSAT, SAT and all Advanced Placement tests. Click HERE today to get started. Juniors and Seniors: There is so much to do when it comes to planning for college. Please click HERE to go to our Counseling web page which has all kinds of presentations and information for you. Colleges Visiting BHS: Juniors and seniors! Are you signing up to visit with the college reps that are constantly visiting BHS. Within the next week alone Alma College, the University of Michigan, Northern University, Lawrence Tech, and Michigan State University will be here to talk to all interested students. Go to the Counseling Office for more details. Upcoming Dates to Remember: September 30th……… Half day of school September 30th……… Picture retakes October 5th…………..
