News and Notes From Brandon High School for the Week of October 24, 2016
New Assistant Principal: Please help me in welcoming new Assistant Principal David Wyatt to Brandon High School. David comes to us from the Waterford School District where he spent time as an Athletic Director, teacher and other leadership positions. Seniors: Please see the attachment for some critical senior pictures and yearbook information. Sophomores: On November 15th all interested sophomores will be touring the Oakland Technical Campus. This is a multi-million dollar facility that houses many fantastic career and technical programs in which our students have a chance to be a part of. Please click HERE for more information about OSTC. The attached permission slip is due to the counseling office by this Friday if your student would like to attend. Freshmen: This week we bring free vision screening to BHS for all freshmen. If the Oakland Health Department screeners see any vision abnormalities in your student, you will be notified. Credit Union: The Michigan State Federal Credit Union is setting up right in our school for students to open up an account. They will be here every Thursday and every other Tuesday throughout the school year. Sign up now and get $5.00 free inserted into your account. See the attached flyer for more information. College Applications: This week is College Week and many colleges and universities are waiving their application fees for students that apply this week. Our counseling staff will be in the Media Center all day on Thursday to meet with students to help them fill out their applications and answer questions about the application process. Family Fun Fest: The Brandon Rotary Club will be offering a Family Fun Night with a Halloween theme on October 30th. Please see the attached flyer for more details. Half Day of School: Just a reminder that Monday, October 31st is a half day of school for all students. Students will be released at 10:35. Athletics: Have you attended a Fall athletic event yet?
