Brandon High School News and Notes for the Week of August 27, 2018
Welcome Back Letter: Please see the attached welcome back letter for all parents. This letter has some vital information for you to be aware of as we start the school year. Start of the Day: Please be aware that Brandon High School will not open its doors each day until 6:55 a.m. Please make sure that you plan accordingly when dropping your students off each morning. The only two doors that will be available for students to enter through will be the main high school entrance and the entrance to the pool area. Thank you for your cooperation with this. Freshmen Orientation: Freshmen Orientation will be Tuesday, August 28th, from 8:00 – 12:00. This is an exciting day for all incoming freshmen to be introduced to our school, meet with upperclassmen, and have a fun day of activities. Juniors: BHS will be offering the PSAT / NMSQT test on October 10th for all Juniors that would like to take this optional test. Please see the attached letter and form for more information. The cost is $17.00 and due to the Counseling Office by Monday, September 10th. BHS Handbook: This would be a good time to go over the Brandon High School Student Handbook which will answer many of your questions about everything and anything going on at BHS. With the weather being warmer at the beginning of the year, please pay special attention to the dress code on page 36.
