News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of September 10, 2018
Breakfast: Did you know that Brandon High School serves breakfast every morning from 7:00 – 7:20? See the attached letter from our Food Service Department for more details. College and Career Presentation: This Tuesday, September 11th at 5:15 in the Performing Arts Center we will be hosting a College and Career Readiness presentation for all parents that are interested. Come and listen to what you should be doing right now to prepare your students for life after high school. Back to School / Curriculum Night: Please join us this Tuesday, September 11th for our annual curriculum night. Come and walk through your student’s schedule, meet the teachers, and find out what your students will be doing in each of their classes this year. This program starts at 6:00 sharp, so don’t be late to 1st hour. See the attached official invite for more details. Juniors: If you would like to take the PSAT / NMSQT test on October 10th, the completed form with $17.00 is due in the Counseling Office by the end of the day on Monday, September 10th. See attached form. First Responder Jerseys: We have received an abundance of phone calls inquiring about how they may be able to purchase a jersey, like the ones that were used in our Cause game for First Responders. Please Click HERE to purchase a jersey, or to donate money to the scholarship fund set up in Officer Eric Overall’s name. Principal’s Council: Principal’s Council is designed for all parents to be able to meet with the high school administration on a monthly basis to hear what is going on at BHS, voice concerns, and to e a part of the school improvement process. Our first meeting will be on Monday, October 1st at 5:00. We hope to see you there. Swim Fundraiser: On Saturday, September 8th the girls swim team will be hosting a car wash fundraiser at the BHS parking lot from 9:00 – 5:00. We hope that you and your dirty car will be able to make it.
