News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of October 8, 2018
Parent / Teacher Conferences: We hope that you are able to make it this week to meet your student’s teachers. Conferences will be held this week on Tuesday from 3:00 – 6:00 and on Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00. No School: There will be no school this Friday, November 12th. Enjoy your long weekend! Seniors: October 1st - the FAFSA for the 2019-20 school year is officially open! Because some financial aid is available on a first come, first served basis, seniors are encouraged to complete their financial aid applications during the month of October. Before completing the FAFSA, your student and one parent in the household must each create an FSA ID and password and gather the information on the FAFSA Checklist. The FSA ID is a username and password unique to the user and should be created at least one week prior to completing the FAFSA. Greg Ashe, Senior Financial Aid Outreach Advisor from Oakland University, will be leading a FAFSA Workshop at BHS on October 25th at 6:00 PM. Any family that would benefit from some extra support in figuring out the FAFSA is encouraged to register for the workshop. Register here. Please contact Mr. Brennan (last names A-K) at mrbrennan@brandon.k12.mi.us or Ms. Wilk (last names L-Z) at cwilk@brandon.k12.mi.us for more information or any other college/financial aid questions you may have.
