Based on the overwhelming participation in the recent parent survey regarding next year's calendar, the district will not be pursuing the hypothetical scheduling option presented over the weekend. As a reminder, a survey was sent to gauge family's interest in changing to a schedule where students would be released 40 minutes early periodically throughout the year (20-30 times) as opposed to having half days six times a year. The feedback that has been received clearly indicates that families would like us to continue using the half day model. As such, we will finalize the details of the 2017-18 and 2018-19 with our bargaining groups and have a final two year calendar to families shortly. Thank you so much for your continued feedback.
