Dear Brandon families, My name is Stephanie Burleson, and I work with Educatius Group. We are working closely with Oakland Schools and they have sponsored visas for international high school students arriving for the 2018-19 academic year. I am reaching out to you in hopes of finding host families who live in the Oakland District that might want to experience this cultural opportunity. The host family provides a furnished room and meals in the home for the student. Host Families are asked to provide meals, love and guidance, as well as a room with a bed, desk and dresser. We pay tuition to the school and monthly monetary stipend of $300/student to the host family. In an effort to be successful, we are also offering a $400 one time host family placement bonus, payable with the first month’s stipend. (One family could host two student) Students have health insurance and spending money. Educatius’ Host Families come in many different shapes and sizes - young couples with small children, single persons, one parent families, empty nesters, etc. The one characteristic all Host Families share is a big heart with a lot of love for a new family member! We have a local coordinator that will be supporting the student, host family and school throughout the year. We also have 24/7 national support. Our students come with their own spending money for personal needs and activities they wish to get involved in and they have their own health insurance. Please let me know if you or someone you know might interested. If you could also pass this information on to any groups you think may be interested, I would appreciate your assistance.
