Good afternoon Harvey-Swanson families,

As you know, the Corona Virus situation has begun to change some of the things we do at school.  Following is the latest information that you need to know.
  • We will continue to update you with any new information or changes. Dr. Outlaw sent a letter to all Brandon families today.  A copy of that letter is attached.
  • Today, teachers spoke with their students about the Corona Virus and how to help stay well. Here is a link so that you can read what teachers shared.
  • Lunch times are changing starting Tuesday, March 17th, in response to the directive that we may not gather more than 100 people in one location.  We will share the new times with you on Tuesday.
  • Morning arrival procedures are also affected by this directive. Starting Tuesday, March 17th second graders will wait by their classrooms, Ms. Gibbon’s class will wait by their classroom, and all first graders will wait in the gym for school to start.  The four kindergarten classrooms, along with Ms. Jackson’s class, will still be in the cafeteria while 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade procedures will remain unchanged.
  • The following events have been canceled:  Fort Clarkston on Friday, March 13th, our Family Reading Escape Room Night on March 19th, the 2nd grade field trip to Longway Planetarium, and the kindergarten concert scheduled for March 26th.
There is no school tomorrow, March 13th or Monday, March 16th.
Daily sanitizing of the classrooms and buses has been happening and will continue. Stay tuned as more communication will come as necessary. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call our office.

Sincerely,

Debbie Brauher
Harvey-Swanson Principal
