Dear Harvey-Swanson families, March is just around the corner and that means it’s time to celebrate reading a little extra! Teachers will reach out to their families soon to share information about their specific celebrations, but here are some fun ways our whole school will be celebrating reading this month: March is Reading Month Kickoff: Our in-person Spirit Week begins on Monday, March 1st. The flyer is attached below, but FYI… Monday is Fox in Socks Day. March is Reading Month Activities Calendar: Be sure to check out the calendar of events to see some of the fun things happening in school. Mark your calendar for our Literacy Game Night virtual events. Drive-thru Book Fair: Every HSE student is invited to the March is Reading Month Drive-thru Book Fair that is on March 23rd from 3:30 - 6:30 PM at the ITEC. Families stay in their cars and order with volunteers who pull the books, bag them up, and families pay with a credit card or contactless Wallet. Families take books with them that day, safely and quickly. Flyers will come home in about a week. Next week’s Positivity Project character strength focus is enthusiasm.
