News & Notes from BMS for December 3rd, 2018
 
Spirit Day:  Tuesday, December 4th - Wrestling

BMS Play: Come and check out the play Willy Wonka Jr. You can see this amazing play on Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st at the Brandon High School Performing Arts Center. The show starts at 7:00 P.M.

Toy Drive: This year the Brandon Middle school will once again participate in the Community Christmas Toy Drive. The toy drive will end on Wednesday, December 5th.  The Seminar that donates the toys with the highest total value will win the Charity Trophy. Thank you for your support of our goal to provide for the children of Brandon School District.

Meadowbrook Theater: Our 8th grade class went to see A Christmas Carol at Meadowbrook Theater on Wednesday, November 28th. Our 8th graders were exemplary. I was very proud of the ways they conducted themselves, and they should be proud, too. They represented BMS very well. Great job 8th graders!

BMS Calendar: I am attaching the most updated BMS Calendar for the 2018-2019 school year.

D.C. Trip 2019: Parents interested in next year’s Washington D.C. Trip.  Friday, November 30th is the last day to take advantage of the Early Sign Up for the trip, to save money.
 
There are three easy ways to sign up:
1. Use the Registration Packet your son/daughter brought home.
2. Use Trip ID 169277 and sign up online at worldstrides.com/signup 
3. By phone at 800-468-5899.  And again use Trip ID # 169277
D.C. Registration 

 
Start planning on sending your student on this once in a lifetime trip with their friends and school members next October and take advantage of saving money now.

Quiz Bowl: Please read the attached letter from Mr. Laux if your student is interested in joining our BMS Quiz Bowl Team.

6th Grade Band & Choir Concert: BMS is having our 6th grade Band & Choir Concert on Thursday, December 6th in the Brandon High School Performing Arts Center. The concert starts at 7:00 P.M.

Breakfast with Santa: Brandon School District is welcoming families with newborn to seven year old students to come see why more local families are calling us home! Come have a free Breakfast with Santa, do some holiday crafts, check out the school and then get information about the Early Childhood Programs Brandon has to offer. Please read the attached flyer for more details.
