News & Notes from BMS for January 3rd, 2019 

Spirit Day: Thursday, January 10:  Winter Hat/Scarf Day must wear at least one item 

Spelling Bee: The results are in for the Championship spelling bee. 1st place was achieved by 7th grader Roselyn Pool, and the position of runner-up was awarded to 8th grader Aiden Ashley. The winning word was galleon. The challenge word was felicitously. Roselyn will now advance to the Oakland County Regional Spelling Bee on February 9, 2019 where she will represent Brandon Middle School. Congratulations, Roselyn, and best of luck at regionals!! 

The following students participated in the 6-8th grade Championship Spelling Bee:

Mrs. Anderson would like to thank all those who participated in or assisted with this year’s spelling bee to make it a challenging and fairly judged competition. Tremendous job, everyone!! 

Coffee Cart: I want to personally thank our Parent-Help Group and other families who donated their time and resources to make the coffee cart a wonderful success. Thanks to everyone involved.  

*No after school tutoring on Thursday, January 3rd.
