Yearbook students are working furiously on making sure this year's BMS yearbook is awesome. If you have any photos of BMS events that you would like to share for  possible inclusion in the yearbook, please email them directly to kmanderson@brandon.k12.mi.us.

Band Festival: Last Friday, almost 200 of our band students (7-12th grade) traveled to Oxford High School to participate in MSBOA District 3's Band and Orchestra Festival.
It's been a very challenging festival season with all the snow days.  Each of the classes missed 13 hours of rehearsal time!  It did not deter them at all!  They were fantastic.
7th Grade Concert Band received a 1st division rating (a "superior" rating). 8th Grade Wind Ensemble received a 2nd division rating (an "excellent" rating). HS Concert Band received a 2nd division rating. HS Wind Ensemble received a 1st diving rating. These are some pretty amazing accomplishments!!

D.C. Trip: Our 8th grade Washington DC Trip for next October is quickly filling up.  Currently we have 86 students and staff signed up and the trip will be capped at 100 people.  That means two full buses traveling to Jamestown, Williamsburg, Monticello, Philadelphia and Washington DC.  Five nights and four full days of learning and fun for your 8th grader will be had. Don't miss out on this once in a life time trip for your student. If you have any questions, please contact Steve Hendershott at shendershott@brandon.k12.mi.us or 248-627-1830 ext. 1348.

Robotics: It’s still not too late to sign up for robotics. The attached flyer has the contact information. Come and check out what robotics has to offer.

A Holocaust Survivor’s Story: Irene Miller, a Holocaust survivor, will take you through her journey of being a Holocaust survivor.
