Spirit Day: Tuesday, Oct 29:  Breast Cancer Awareness wear PINK
 
Athletics: Anyone interested in trying out for 7th or 8th grade volleyball and wrestling need to sign up in the Student Services office before tryouts begin. Practice and tryouts will begin on October 28th from 2:45-5:00. In order to tryout and practice, each student must have a physical on file with the Brandon Athletic Department and an Athletic Code of Conduct signed and on file. Physical forms and the Athletic Code forms can be found on the wall outside of Student Services. Any questions please see. Mr. Hendershott, Mrs. Hendershott, or Rachel Hendershott
 
O.A.T.S.: BMS would like to thank all the families who have generously donated candy and/or money to our Fall Community Service Project supporting O.A.T.S The “Haunted Barn Trick or Treating” at O.A.T.S is this Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 6p – 7p.  Decorating is from 5p - 6p, clean-up is from 7p - 7:30p.
 
If you are dropping your child off at O.A.T.S., please pick them up no later than 7:30 P.M. For more information on this BMS Community Service Project, please contact Julie Kelly at jkelly@brandon.k12.mi.us.  For more information on the programs that O.A.T.S offers to their students, visit their website at OATS  BMS raised $627.06 to donate to O.A.T.S and BMS students donated 389 pounds of candy which was 17,468 total pieces
 
Important Yearbook Deadline: Friday, 11/1. The last day to order your 2020 BMS yearbook at the current price is Friday, 11/1, at midnight. At that time, the price will go up. You can order online through this link: Jostens
 
Self-Defense Class: Can you defend yourself from a violent attack? The attached flyer has information about a self-defense class. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity.
 
8th Grade Field Trip: The 8th grade Christmas Carol play field trip to Meadowbrook Theater is on December 12. The deadline to turn in money and permission slips is on Tuesday, October 29. Permission slips were sent home last month, but you can find an attached slip here. Please have your child turn in his/her permission slips on or before this Tuesday, 10/29/19. Thank you!
 
7th Grade Parents: Washington DC information went home this week and we had our first Washington DC informational meeting this week.
 
If you would like to register your student for this wonderful trip, you can do so in one of 3 easy ways:
1. Call 1-800-468-5899 and use Trip number 182910 and place a deposit on the trip.
2. Go to DC Trip, and again use Trip number 182910
3. Or use the Registration Packet that your son/daughter was given Wednesday this week.  If you need another, you can stop in at Student Services and pick up another.

BMS Dance: Let it Snow is the theme for our dance on Friday, November 8th. The dance starts at 6:30 P.M. and ends promptly at 9:00 P.M. Please use the link below to sign up and volunteer.
