News & Notes from BMS for February 18, 2020
 
Spirit Days :
  • Tuesday, February 18th: Hat Day
  • Wednesday, February 19:  Brandon Blue - Boys 7th Basketball
  • Thursday, February 20th: Mis-Match Shoe Day
  • Friday, February 21st: Brandon Blue
  • Wednesday, February 26th:  Brandon Blue - Competitive Cheer 

BMS Math Tutoring: Math support is being offered 4 days per week by middle school math teachers. This program will focus on the mastery of math skills utilizing differentiated instruction for each student. Attend as many classes as you would like each week (i.e. Monday & Thursday, or just Wednesday, etc). You can click on the "register now" button on the flyer to register online.

Bowling: 
Tryouts are at Cherry Hill Lanes North, beginning Tuesday, February 18th and Friday, February 21st from 4-5:30pm. It is a no-cut sport. Practices start  the following week, same days and times. Meets will begin sometime in March. Cost per bowler is $79. This includes all bowling fees, shoe rental, and team shirt.
This is the one sport that kids can earn scholarship money and that parents can practice with them. Any questions, please contact Susan Tower at 248-343-5438, or email at stower01@yahoo.com. 


BMS Baseball & Softball: There will be a parent-player informational meeting on Tuesday February 18th, at 6:00pm in the middle school Media Center for any 7th and 8th grade students interested in playing MS Baseball and Softball this spring.  Practice schedules, game schedules, costs related to the season and other pertinent information will be discussed.  Please make plans to attend.
*All players must have a current physical and athletic contract on file in order to start practices on March 16th.  If the student has already participated in a Fall or Winter sport at BMS, their physical should be on file.  For additional questions or information, please call the Brandon Athletic Office, 248-627-1827.

2020 Bond: What are some of the projects the bond will fund? Building repairs, security upgrades, Technology/STEM labs, playgrounds, roof repairs, parking lots, bathrooms and flooring, replacing old fencing, pool roof and dehumidification system, athletic and performing arts repairs and replacement. If you would like more information please refer to the website below.
