BMS News & Notes
August 28th, 2020

Counseling Update: Mrs. Stone is furiously working to fill student schedules. Once the schedules are complete, I will send out a communication through Parent Portal

Student Lockers: We are spacing out student lockers to minimize student contact. Students are only allowed to go to their locker before school starts, before lunch to get their phone/lunch, return to locker, and then at the end of our school day.

No Seminar: We are not going to have Seminar for this school year. Your student's schedule will reflect hours 2-7. Sorry for the confusion.

Backpacks: We are allowing students to wear backpacks during the school day. This helps to decrease hall activity.
Back To School Registration:  This year’s walk in Registration Day will all be done virtually this year.

Pictures – Picture day will be September 23rd during the school day. Students will receive their id badges the following week.

Parent Webinar: I will hold a Parent Webinar Thursday, September 3rd from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Please use the link below to register for teh parent webinar.
BMS Webinar Registration

Block Schedule:  Brandon Middle School will be implementing a block schedule for our students for both face to face instruction and for those that are participating in the Brandon Learn From Home Program.  Students will attend hours 2-4 on the first day of school, and then hours 5-7 on the second day of school for approximately an hour and fifty-five minutes each class.  These days will continue to rotate all school year. No Seminar for this year.

Athletics: If you are interested in playing 7th and 8th Girls Basketball or running Cross Country (6th, 7th & 8th) it's not too late to join.  Practice schedule is below along with the Coach's email contact.  All athletes must have a current physical on file before being able to participate in practices.  Click on the link to find out all the details for physical requirements: https://brandonblackhawks.org/required-physical-form/
