BMS Athletic Update
8/19/21 Greetings Blackhawks! Brandon Middle School fall sports practices begin the week of August 23rd. Here is some important information and reminders as we head into the new school year… FINALFORMS: FinalForms is the new student management system that is used by our athletic department and coaches throughout each sport’s respective seasons. It is a great tool for monitoring compliance and communication purposes. If you have not registered on FinalForms, please use this link: https://brandon-mi.finalforms.com A parent will need to create a New Account first. Please use the Brandon Parent Playbook- MI as your guide. Once the parent account is completed and you have selected the sports in which your child would like to participate in for the 2021-22 school year, an email will be sent to the student for them to create and verify their account. **In order to tryout or participate in any practice, all parents & students must complete FinalForms online registration and have an updated physical on file in the athletic office or in the athlete’s FinalForms file. PHYSICALS: For the 2021-22 school year, an MHSAA pre-participation sports physical is required for all students who participate in sports. A physical examination must be completed on or after April 15, 2021 to be considered a valid physical for 2021-22. The MHSAA Health Questionnaire will not be used this school year. The MHSAA two-page physical form has not changed and remains on MHSAA.com. You can print the two-page physical form HERE MHSAA Sports Physical Form. SCHEDULES: All game schedules can be found on www.brandonblackhawks.org. In addition, schedules can be accessed using your mobile device using a free app called Activity Scheduler (the icon is a blue baseball cap with rST). Please download the app on your mobile device and follow the prompts to select Michigan as the state and Brandon High School (all MS schedules are included under the HS selection). This platform provides dates, times, locations, and bus times for all events in our athletic department and any changes that are made on our end are updated instantaneously within the app. Sport Specific Practice Times, Locations & Contact Information: Each season’s (Fall, Winter, Spring) tryout information can be found on our athletic website, www.brandonblackhawks.org and click on the ‘MORE’ tab. Under the Tryout section click Fall Sports and there you will find a link Tryout Spreadsheet Fall 2021-22 (Dates and Times). Athletic Department Hours: The Brandon Athletic office is located in Brandon High School, room 149. The office will be open daily, 7:30am – 3:00pm Monday – Friday. We would also like to welcome our new athletic secretary, Darlene Borowksi! Darlene previously coached volleyball at Brandon high school and middle school. In 2019-20, she worked in the Brandon Middle School main office and now we are excited to have her in the athletic department!!
